Dobbys Liquid Luck Socks - February Club
** PLEASE ORDER THIS ITEM SEPARATELY FROM OTHER ITEMS BECAUSE OF THE DELAY IN SHIPPING. ALSO, PLEASE ONLY ORDER THE PROGRESS KEEPER IF YOU ARE JOINING THE CLUB. THANK YOU. **
***Image shown of yarn is an example from a previous club. The set shown is Dobby's Winter Socks from our December yarn club. As this is a mystery yarn club, Februarys club will look entirely different.***
For our Feburary yarn club, I have chosen to once again be inspired by everyone's favorite house elf. Be like Dobby and knit yourself a pair of mis-matched socks. It's a second-sock-syndrome-sufferers dream.
Felix Felicis, also called "Liquid Luck" is a magical potion that makes the drinker lucky for a period of time, during which everything they attempt will be successful. It turns an ordinary day into an extraordinary one. It is meant to be used sparingly, however, as it causes giddiness, recklessness, and dangerous overconfidence if taken in excess. Imagine Dobby having an extraordinary day thanks to a bottle of liquid luck that he sipped when nobody was watching. These are the socks he would wear.
The progress keeper shown gives you a hint as to what you will receive, however this is not the exact progress keeper that will be sent.
You will receive two different, but coordinating, skeins with one mini skein to use on both to bring the whole look together. This will be a such a fun project to knit up during the early days of winter. Getting to knit two different socks means you won't tire of this project quickly.
You will receive two 50 gram skeins, along with one 20 gram skein. The perfect amount for a pair of cozy socks with coordinating heels, toes and cuffs.
Mystery yarn clubs will ship out by February 16th.
Yarns are dyed on Lovely Sock:
A Little Fancy Kit - 75/20/5 SW Merino/Nylon/Sparkle 2 ply - 219 yards - 50 grams; 87 yards - 20 grams
Throughout the yarn dying process each fiber has been given the utmost thought and attention with every detail, from color selection to finishing touches. Each skein has been soaked, rinsed and air dried to seal in the vibrant color you see, ready to be knit up. Every skein is an original piece of art, so no two skeins are exactly alike. Handmade in NC.
